Daddy's touch

Let me tell you a brief little tale.....It was a 3 hour duel (the length of church, to be precise), and the fiercest of battles took place (Jersi -fidgeting, moaning, crying. Jase-walking, soothing, missing class and learning nothing). But in the end I think the picture reads the final chapter without a single word. I think you know who won.
Until they meet again, oh fiercest of foes (probably next week - same time, same place).

Trip to Seattle

My oldest sister Anna and her husband Frank were nice enough to fly us out to Seattle where they live. The rest of my family was there too on vacation so it worked out perfectly. I was excited that Jase was able to come as well and see Seattle because he had never been. While we were there, we discovered that Jersi REALLY likes her Aunt Anna. Anytime Jersi was crying, Anna was able to calm her instantly. Jersi was just as comfortable and content in Anna's arms as she was in mine. We started to call Aunt Anna, Aunt Mama because she was almost like Jersi's second mom.

We were saying that if Anna was able to nurse, I could leave Jersi with her and Jersi probably wouldn't even know that I was gone. Seriously.

I love to see my two nephews, Frank Jr. and Christian. I feel like everytime I see them they've grown so much, but still stay as sweet as ever. They were always asking to hold Jersi.

Frank was so precious with Jersi. He knew just how to hold and support her, and she just loved being in his arms.

Christian loved to hold Jersi too. She could just stare at him all day long.

Mom and Jersi.

Frank and Anna took us to Whistler, Canada for a couple of days. It's only a five hour drive from Seattle and definately worth it. It has fantastic skiing in the winter, and has biking, hiking, swimming, etc.. in the summer. BEAUTIFUL!! One day all the boys went downhilling with rented mountain bikes. You basically take the gondolas up the mountains and bike down the same 'slopes' that you would ski down in the winter. I don't have any pictures, but when the boys came back they were covered with mud. I still haven't been able to get the mud out of Jase's jeans and shirt. Despite the fact that my brother came home with a huge bruise/scrap on his hip, and they all complained about being sore the next day, they said it was so much fun and will definately do it again.

Dad and Jersi in the hotel room, ready to go for a hike.

Anna and Sasha at the village in Whistler.

One day we went on Frank's boat. It's a smaller, sportier boat that can sit 9 people. We went tubing, wakeboarding, and water skiing around the island that they live on.

Frank and Christian tubing.

My Dad even went tubing!

We had so much fun in Seattle. Thanks Frank and Anna!!

She Yells!

I meant to post this along with the other video from yesterday but I didn't have time. Jase would eat Jersi's tummy and she would grab onto his ears and hair and yell! We've never heard her yell like that before. We said that she sounds like a cat on the attack. It was so funny!

On the Move

Jersi can now roll over! She can roll from back to stomach and vice-versa. She started doing it a couple of days ago and now she's really gotten the hang of it. Gone are the days of putting her down while going to do something and coming back to find her in the same place..
